At Heartland Hematology and Oncology, we strive to give each and every patient the best care available. We emphasize a team approach, and take pride in our attention to their personal needs. We want each and every patient to feel welcome and comfortable the moment they walk through our front door.

As a new patient our physicians will review in detail your past and current medical issues and concerns. Your diagnosis will be explained as well as discussing all treatment options and answering any questions you may have. A cancer or blood diagnosis can be scary in itself and we want each patient to know that our physicians, nurses, and staff are here for them along their journey. Our team will follow our patients closely throughout their treatment and assess their needs from start to finish. Our physician’s assistant and nurse practitioner work closely with our doctors. We will provide follow up care depending on each patients individualized needs.

Our team has experienced oncology and hematology nurses that help patients understand their treatment plans and assist with any changes or needs that may occur. Patients can call during our office hours and expect a same day call back, and after hours our physicians are available to take calls.

To offer further patient services, we have onsite nurse navigators. Our navigator services are here to help patients and their loved ones by offering support and information. Our goal of our navigation services is to provide assistance to assure each patient receives timely and quality treatment for their disease. Our navigators work with all health care professionals to remove barriers that may stand in the way of effective, comprehensive cancer and hematology care.

We have an onsite clinical trials nurse available to assist in any clinical trial needs and provide needed information and explanation of trials available.

We have an onsite CLIA certified laboratory with highly skilled staff. Our laboratory offers specialized services such as tumor markers, therapeutic phlebotomies, specialized chemistries and hematology studies, coagulation studies, and assisting with bone marrow biopsies, which are performed at our clinic as well.

Heartland Hematology and Oncology offers patients chemotherapy treatments in the comfort and convenience of the HHO clinic. This allows easy access to the physicians if any questions arise.

Our treatment room is designed for patient comfort and convenience while providing high quality cancer and hematology care. Each station offers audio and visual entertainment as well as individual tablets if desired.

Each registered nurse is trained in the proper handling and administration of chemotherapy. The nurses are available at all times to answer any questions and to help educate you about your treatment.
